An unexpectedly busy summer continues for Advocates for Life!
Planned Parenthood Protest
On June 22nd the South Carolina Democratic Convention came to Columbia and Planned Parenthood organized a town hall event at the USC Alumni Center where 20 of the candidates spoke, all affirming their support of ending life in the womb. In response Advocates for Life launched a counter-rally and on short notice brought a crowd of over 120 concerned students, faculty members, and community friends. The event received additional local and national news coverage and the facebook live event of the speakers was seen 15,000 times!
NRLC
That was followed by the National Right to Life Convention in Charleston, July 5th and 6th, where several of our students were able to attend and network with other organizations and ministries working to protect life in our nation! Our members met the Governor and also heard from nationally recognized speakers including the star of Unplanned, Ashley Bratcher.
Looking forward!
We're excited for the rest of the summer! On July 28th our students are attending a Columbia Fireflies Game to raise money for Daybreak Pregnancy Center! At the game $5 of every $10 ticket will go to the Center! If you are interested in attending, shoot us an email (sosforlifeusc@gmail.com)!
